Public Smog
Public Smog

Public Smog is “a public park composed of intangibles and built in the economic realm of carbon offset trading. Offsets purchased and controlled by the public will be inaccessible to polluting industries. The park will exist as a construct of heightened air quality occurring in this unfixed public space. The park's size will vary, reflecting shifting financial control of carbon offset shares, compounded by naturally occurring seasonal fluctuations in air quality.”

  • Wow-as an avid gardener, I was amazed by your petri dish pictures. They are terribly and beautifully joined. The genetically engineered zoo causes me concern. The human species has unleashed so many terrible things onto the earth because they can - but do we really possess the wisdom to control what we create?

  • That's where the Asteromo comes in. Unbound by terrestrial ethics and morality, it's where genetic alteration will be the norm, a fundamental, inalienable right borne out of the landscape. Sure, it'll be the site of ghastly creations and hellish accidents, but 1,000 years later, it'll be converted into Disneygalactic. The happiest place in the universe. That or some raging religious fanatics will degrade its geosynchronous orbit and plunge to their deaths. Ironically wiping out all life on Earth as well.

In any case, welcome annie. Do visit often and stay awhile!
