So strange. So foreign it's disturbing.

A nice antidote to the Zhang Yimou mild-extravaganza, which everyone seems to be fawning over. 2008 drummers? Big deal. Sidney had fire breathers covering the entire stadium floor in flames! And like you once wrote, Barcelona had a naumachia. The largest LCD screen? On that huge stage: yawn. And I'll take Atlanta's Jazz funeral dirge and gospel choirs over Lang Lang evoking Liberace. Tower of memory vs. Berkeley's water pyramid. Berkeley wins!

How about Matthew Barney's Cremaster 1? Has the hallmark of that Busby Berkeley aesthetic.

Or if you want the entire series, Mininova has it all:
The Cremaster Series
. Get 'em while there are seeds.
