On Worldview, a web-based project of the Architectural League that looks at the world's cities through the eyes of young architects who live and work in them. The cities are Tijuana, Oslo, Dhaka, and Caracas.

  • The woodcut was taken from the La Mer online exhibition, which seems to be out of commission at the moment. Riots, perhaps?

    I'll look for the label once the site comes back online, and append it to the image.

    "De toute les légendes bretonnes, celle de la ville d'Ys et de sa submersion est la plus fameuse et la plus fascinante. La tradition en situe d'histoire dans les premiers siècles du Moyen Âge, alors que la christianisme, récemment implanté en Armorique, luttait encore contre les survivances païennes. Gradlon régnait alors sur la Cornouille, entouré de deux sages et saints conseillés. Mais le roi était faible envers sa fille, la belle et perverse Dahut.
